Red Bean Pancake (豆沙燒餅)


If you like foods that are made with Glutinous rice flour, you’ll have to try this snacks.  Especially when it is made with Red Bean Paste.  It’s chewy and sweet, it’s a nice snacks for a snowy Winter day.

 

Yield: 10 servings.


Ingredients:


  • 200 g Glutinous Rice Flour (糯米粉)

  • 40 g Sugar

  • 180 g Water

  • 20 g Vegetable Oil

  • 200 g Red Bean Paste (豆沙)


Preparations:


1. In a small saucepan, heat Sugar, Water and Oil until Sugar dissolved.



2. Pour sugar mixture into flour.  Stir until it’s smooth.  Let cool.




3. Divide the dough into 20 equal sizes.  Roll into small balls.

4. Flatten 2 the dough balls.


5. Add Red Bean Paste onto 1 of the flatten dough.

6. Covered the Red Bean Paste with another flatten dough.  Lightly press around the dough to seal the edges.

7. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat.  Pan fried both sides of the pan cake until it’s golden brown.  Serve hot.
