To all peanuts lovers, you have to give this recipe a try. It's a very easy and simple recipe, and the peanut brittle came out fabulous. This can be a perfect Holiday gift or great idea for a bake sale. Just make sure you have everything measured out before hand.
Ingredients:
2 Cup Raw Peanuts
1 Cup White Sugar
½ Cup Light Corn Syrup
¼ tsp Salt
¼ Cup Water
2 tbsp Butter, Softened
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Preparation:
1. Line peanuts on a baking sheet.
2. Toasted the peanuts in the oven until golden brown.
3. Line parchment paper onto a baking pan. Set aside.
4. In a medium saucepan, set candy thermometer in place. Add water, sugar, corn syrup and salt. Over medium heat, dissolve sugar mixture. Stir occasionally, until mixture reach 130 Degree C or 260 Degree F.
5. Stir peanuts.
6. Stir until temperature reach hard crack stage (150 Degree C or 300 Degree F).
7. Remove pot from heat. Immediately stir in butter, baking soda and vanilla extract.
8. Pour candy onto the baking pan. With a rubber spatula, spread the candy evenly onto the baking pan.
9. Let cool and snap the candy into pieces.
