New York Cheesecake


This is an easy and delicious cheesecake recipe.  Just keep in mind not to overmix the batter.   And don’t worry if your cheesecake came out cracked.  It can be fixed easily.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ Cup Oreo Baking Crumbs

  • 3 tbsp Melted Butter

  • 32 oz Cream Cheese

  • 1 ½ Cup Sugar

  • ¾ Cup Milk

  • 4 Eggs

  • 1 Cup Sour Cream

  • 3 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

  • ¼ Cup All Purpose Flour

Preparations:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

2. Line the bottom of a 9 inch springform pan with parchment paper.  Grease the side of the pan.


3. In a medium mixing bowl, mix cookie crumbs with melted butter.  Press cookie crumbs firmly and evenly onto the bottom of the pan.  Bake for 10 minutes.  Set aside.








4. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar with Electric mixer until well blended.





5. Add milk.  Then eggs, one at a time.



6. Mix in sour cream, vanilla and flour until well combined.  Do not over mixed.




7. Pour batter into springform pan.



8. Baked for 1 hour or until almost set.  Turn off oven, let cool in the oven with door closed for 2 hours.  Chill in refrigerator until serve.




Tips:

How to fix cracked cheesecake?

Don’t panic if you get a cracked cheesecake from the oven.  There’s a very easy way to fixed.


1. Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator.

2. Deep the spatula into hot water.





3. Press the spatula towards the crack on the cheesecake to seal it.
