Homemade Naan Bread with Garlic Butter


Can't go wrong serving Curry with Naan Bread. This homemade naan bread s soft, chewy and delicious. You won't believe how easy it is to make naan bread like a Pro at home.


 

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour

  • 1/2 tsp Salt

  • 1/2 cup Plain Yogurt

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1/2 cup Water

  • 2 1/4 tsp Instant Yeast

  • 1 tbsp Oil

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 2 cloves garlic

Preparations:

1. Place Flour, Salt, Plain Yogurt, Sugar, Water, Instant Yeast and Oil into the bowl of your stand mixer.









2. Using the dough hook on low, knead the dough until the surface is smooth and shinny, about 10 mins.


3. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it's double the size. About 1 hour. See How to proof bread in the Oven.

4. Minced the garlic using a garlic press.


5. In a small saucepan, add butter and minced garlic. Cook until the butter is melted and you can smell the garlic favor. Set aside.




6. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.


7. Roll the dough until they are about 3/4 cm thick.


8. Heat up a skillet (I used a non-stick pan) over medium high heat. Add a drizzle of oil. Place the dough on the skillet.


9. Cook for about 2 - 3 minutes or until bubble and golden brown on the bottom. Flip over and cook for another 2 - 3 mintues.


10. Brush both side with melted garlic butter.
