Grilled Lemongrass Chicken (香茅雞翼)


Lemongrass is one of the ingredients mostly seen in Vietnamese Cuisine. This recipe is best on the BBQ but it’s not bad grilled in the oven as well.

 

Ingredients:

  • 500 g Chicken Wings

  • 2 Lemongrasses

  • 3 tbs Honey

Marinate:

  • 2 tbsp Fish Sauce (魚露)

  • 1 tbsp Light Soya Sauce (生抽)

  • ½ tbsp Dark Soya Sauce (老抽)

  • 1 ½ tbsp Sugar

  • 1 tbsp Shoa Hsing Rice Cooking Wine (紹興酒)

Preparations:

1. Dice Lemongrass into small pieces.

2. Add lemongrass, chicken wings and marinate into a zip lock bag. Let marinated overnight in the refrigerator.

3. Preheat oven to 375 degree F.

4. Lined baking pan with aluminum foil. Lay chicken wings on the baking pan. Baked for 30 minutes or until fully cooked.

5. Brush on a layer of honey. Let it baked for another 5 minutes.
